The 14U team capped off an impressive undefeated run through the In The Net fall league with a convincing 10-0 win over the Lancaster Junior Barnstormers in the championship game.
Cameron Simes was dominant on the mound, tossing 4 shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out 5.
Simes received all the offensive support he needed in the top of the first inning as three straight singles from Adrian Gonzalez (2/3 w/ 1R & 2RBI), Cameron Machtinger (1/3 w/ 2R), and Ty George (1/3 w/ 1R & 1RBI) plated a Bomber run before an out had been recorded. The Bombers’ lead expanded to 3-0 after an RBI ground-out from Carter Kyle (1/2 w/ 1R, 2RBI, & 1 2B) and a sacrifice fly from Cameron Simes.
The offense continued to click in the second inning with Chase Prange (1/1 w/ 2R, 1BB, 1 2B) launching a 2 out double before coming around to score on a rocket of a line drive from Angelo Billiard.
After scoring 2 more runs in the top of the third to extend the lead to 6-0, the Bombers put things out of reach in the top of the 4th. After Camden Hulock drew a walk to start the frame, Alex Derderian (1/2 w/ 1R, 1RBI, & 1 2B) clobbered an RBI double to go up 7-0. Later in the frame Adrian Gonzalez (2/3 w/ 2R & 1RBI) picked up an RBI single and later came around to score on an error to stretch the lead to 10-0 which is where the game ended.
